“Whenever there is tension, it needs attention”

What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is based on the belief that the body has an innate ability to restore balance and support its own healing when given the right support.

During a kinesiology session, I use muscle monitoring as a form of biofeedback to help uncover areas of stress or imbalance within the body. Think of it as a conversation with your body — allowing us to explore what may be contributing to physical, emotional, mental or energetic imbalances.

Once we identify what your body is asking for, I use a range of gentle techniques and corrections to help restore balance. These can include acupoint stimulation, sound, energy techniques and other kinesiology methods, depending on what your body indicates it needs.

What I love about kinesiology is that it brings together elements of ancient Eastern healing traditions with our understanding of Western physiology. It is a gentle, non-invasive and empowering modality that encourages you to connect with your body, listen to its messages and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.

I believe that the body is incredibly intelligent and has the capacity to restore balance. Your body has many of the answers — sometimes it just needs a little support to be heard.

Kinesiology is a complementary and holistic modality that can be enjoyed alongside other therapies and, where appropriate, conventional medical care. Each session is unique and tailored to you, your body and what you need in that moment.

Avenues of Kinesiology

Mental & Emotional Wellbeing

Our emotional and mental wellbeing can have a profound influence on how we feel, think and function each day. Stress, overwhelm, anxiety, emotional experiences and the demands of everyday life can sometimes leave us feeling disconnected, unsettled or stuck in patterns that are difficult to shift. Kinesiology takes a holistic approach to explore areas of stress and imbalance within the body and identify where support may be needed. By working with the relationship between the body, emotions and mind, kinesiology aims to encourage greater awareness, relaxation and balance, helping you reconnect with yourself and develop a greater sense of calm, clarity and emotional wellbeing.

Sports Kinesiology

Sports Kinesiology is an holistic approach to sports performance….the missing link between physical training and the deeper systems that drive performance (the nervous system, emotional regulation, biomechanics and energetic balance).

Neurological Integration - Enhances communication between the brain and body, improving reaction time, coordination, decision making under pressure.

Biomechanical Alignment - Corrects subtle imbalances that lead to recurring injuries, reduced speed or inefficient movement patterns.

Stress & Emotional Load Release - Clears subconscious stress stored in the body.

Energetic Balance - Supports the body’s meridian and energetic systems, helping athletes/active teenagers maintain resilience, focus and recovery capacity.

Recovery & Regeneration Support - Helps the body switch out of fight-or-flight and into repairs mode, reducing inflammation and speeding up healing.

Pain Management

Pain is a very real physical experience but our bodies are also influenced by our thoughts, emotions, experiences and the stresses we carry through life. From a kinesiology perspective, the body can hold patterns of stress and tension that may be connected to emotional experiences, beliefs, unresolved feelings or situations where we have felt overwhelmed or unable to move forward. Think of that sore shoulder, does the pain ever ease?

From a metaphysical perspective, some people view physical symptoms as the body’s way of communicating that something may need attention. Certain areas of the body are traditionally associated with particular emotions, experiences or energetic themes. Kinesiology can provide a gentle way of exploring these connections and bringing greater awareness to what your body may be asking you to acknowledge, release or change.

The intention is not to suggest that emotions are the cause of pain, but to recognise that we are whole beings — our physical body, thoughts, emotions and energy are interconnected. By working with these different aspects, kinesiology may help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and support a greater sense of balance, ease and wellbeing.

Kinesiology does not diagnose or treat the medical causes of pain. Persistent, severe or unexplained pain should always be assessed by an appropriate healthcare professional.
